BRIGHTON, CO, April 29, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kathy Wardle has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Wardle has wanted to become an artist for her whole life, fondly recalling making sculptures out of dough when she would bake with her mother as a child. She subsequently earned a Bachelor of Arts in mass media from Colorado State University and a Master of Arts in fine arts from the University of Northern Colorado before beginning her career as an art teacher. She later worked for several schools prior to becoming an adjunct professor at the University of Northern Colorado, where she taught digital design. In 2007, Ms. Wardle retired from art education and continued her professional efforts as a full-time artist.
Ms. Wardle has notably excelled as an artist for galleries for 30 years and a large bronze artist for nearly 10 years. She has created large bronze statues and public art pieces, often commissioned by communities, corporations and individuals alike. With her work, Ms. Wardle strives to create sculptures that convey the essence of a story that is an emotive depiction of the human story.
For her stellar efforts in her career, Ms. Wardle has been presented with the People's Choice Award, the Master of Arts Award of Excellence and the Founders Choice Award at the Women Artists of the West National Exhibit. She was also selected to receive funding from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District Grant to create public sculptures. Previously, Ms. Wardle was presented with an art scholarship to study painting in Provence, France.
In her community, Ms. Wardle serves as the president of the Brighton Culture Arts Commission. She also maintains her professional affiliation with the National Sculpture Society, the Marine Artists of America and the Plein Air Artists of Colorado. Over the years, she has attributed her success to working alongside people who have a similar vision for their community. Looking toward the future, Ms. Wardle plans to create more plein air pieces while completing more large-scale sculpture commissions, including a piece that will be displayed at the Rockport Center for the Arts in Texas.
