After gaining years of expertise as a clerical and executive assistant, Mr. Cernuschi retired from Caravan International Corporation in 2016. For more than 35 years, he managed price quoting for customers based on purchasing from domestic manufacturers and suppliers while maintaining purchase orders, export shipping documentation and letters of credit. Over the years, he also worked with Caravan Medical Division Inc. As the vice president for the aforementioned company, Mr. Cernuschi was involved in establishing distributor relationships with medical suppliers and manufacturers, as well as handling shipping documents and airway bills.
During the early years of his career, Mr. Cernuschi also served as a clerical assistant and clerical specialist with the Orit Corporation and Temporary Staffing Inc., with which he was recruited to a special contract assignment with the U.S. Department of Energy. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, he was affiliated with Delta Phi Epsilon and Foreign Service Fraternity. Alongside his efforts in the 1970s, Mr. Cernuschi dedicated his time and attention to the U.S. Presidential Campaign for Senator Henry M. Jackson as a clerical assistant in the mail department.
An expert in his field, Mr. Cernuschi earned a French Baccalaureate in liberal arts and sciences, as well as in French and humanities through Lycee Francais De New York. He additionally obtained a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Fordham University in 1984. Though his career has been filled with highlights, he is incredibly proud of garnering his undergraduate degree. In the coming years, Mr. Cernuschi intends to re-enter the workforce in a similar position to those he held prior to his retirement.
