Having earned a degree in music therapy from the University of Miami, Dr. Brown has found great success in the field, as well as through his services as a piano, organ and voice instructor for prospective students. Moreover, throughout the course of his career, he was afforded the ability to perform in Miami Beach, as well as at various churches. In addition, Dr. Brown briefly served the community as a psychologist for criminally insane patients for more than five years.
Long interested in a career in music, Dr. Brown drew inspiration from the example of his mother, who was a singer, and from his grandfather, a radio host from the 1940s in California. Greatly dedicated to his piano studies while coming of age, his grandmother generously paid for his music lessons. Since embarking upon his career, Dr. Brown has delighted in serving as a mentor to students in his own right, many of whom continued to learn under his tutelage until graduating from high school.
Dr. Brown was the youngest music educator to be appointed to coordinate for the Tri-County area for Spanish and low-income children. For five years in a row, he coordinated on behalf of nine different locations. Additionally, he supervised teaching interns who were training to become music teachers. Looking toward the future, Dr. Brown does not see himself retiring, more than happy to continue performing at which he has always excelled.
