PATERSON, NJ, May 26, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lolita Echevarria has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After starting professionally as a medical assistant, Ms. Echevarria worked her way up to medical billing and pursued studies at Passaic County Community College. From there, she became an office manager in medical billing, as well as a procedure technician, during which time she performed such procedures as cardiopulmonary stress tests, pulmonary function tests and electrocardiograms. Over the years, she also developed a love of sleep medicine and became the supervisor of the Medsolutions Sleep Center in 2006. Though she was familiar with the field, she was wary about its management component. However, by training with the American Association of Sleep Medicine, she quickly caught on and learned to manage the lab's computer system and create a supplied company, laundry service and cleaning service account that helped the center to prosper.
In recent years, Ms. Echevarria obtained dual roles in medical billing and management with Prestige Infusions and Garden State Infusions. Through her work with Prestige, she manages daily department functions, including medical coding, charge entries, payment posting and reimbursements. Additionally, she collects, posts and manages patient account payments and follows up on past due invoices and delinquent accounts. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, she was required to quickly learn to manage her work remotely. Although it was difficult at first, she excels in her work today from a remote location.
Driven to further her industry skill set, Ms. Echevarria is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in health care administration that she intends to complete at Purdue University by 2022. Previously, she became a durable medical equipment provider through the American Association of Sleep Medicine. To remain abreast of changes in the field, she aligns herself with Medscape, the American Association of Medical Assistants and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. In conjunction with her work in medical billing, she gives back to her community as a volunteer with St. Theresa Church.
Although her career has been filled with standout moments, Ms. Echevarria is most proud of managing an office for two decades. Additionally, she was honored to work in the field of sleep medicine and have her Sleep Center accredited through the American Association of Sleep Medicine and the Medical Association of Sleep. Looking toward the future, Ms. Echevarria intends to become a health care administrator for a multi-specialty office or a hospital.
