SUNBURY, PA, May 31, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Timothy B. Campbell has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Driven by a desire to work within his local community, Mr. Campbell felt compelled to follow a career in the healthcare industry. Joining Bridging the Gaps, a consortium of medical and health care provider schools, he worked as assistant to the director at University of Pennsylvania helping to manage and place groups of medical and affiliated health care professions students in underserved areas for summer internships. During this time, Mr. Campbell pursued an education at the aforementioned university, from which he received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing in 1999 and 2003, respectively.
Following his work with Bridging the Gaps, Mr. Campbell excelled as a nurse practitioner at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children specializing in pediatric neurology and as an instructor of nursing of children at Drexel University and later Thomas Jefferson University. After receiving a Doctor of Philosophy in nursing education, he worked as an assistant professor at Luzerne County Community College. Presently, Mr. Campbell is the director of the Central Susquehanna LPN Career Center.
In his current position, Mr. Campbell administrates both the full and part-time nursing programs. He is responsible for all day-to-day operations, reviewing and revising the curriculum, and maintaining the program's approval through the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and accreditation through the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Campbell is most proud to have earned a doctorate degree in his field and to have risen to a directorial position.
As an active member of his community, Mr. Campbell serves as the treasurer of the Pennsylvania Association of Practical Nurse Administrators and the Area Agency on Aging. He participates on advisory boards for SUN Area Technical Institute and the WATCH Project and maintains professional memberships with the National League of Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau International. Looking toward the future, Mr. Campbell plans to retire from his profession.
