Ms. Rothman established herself as the president and chief executive officer of Landis Savings Bank between 1991 and 1992. She is proud to have been one of only a handful of women to excel as the chief executive officer of the bank during the 1990s. Previously, Ms. Rothman found success as a business development officer of the investment and securities service division in the Penfield Financial Center at Marine Midland Bank from 1987 to 1990, the assistant vice president and branch manager of the First Federal Savings and Loan Association between 1984 and 1987, the manager and supervisor of student loan accounting and check disbursements and the manager of VISA traveler's check operations at the Chase Manhattan Bank from 1980 until 1984. Full Chase employment was between 1973 and 1984.
Ms. Rothman studied at Onondaga Community College and the Rochester Institute of Technology. While coming of age, her father worked as the president of Marine Midland Bank in Syracuse, New York. Following in his footsteps, she began her career as a bank teller from 1973 to 1980. With her father's encouragement, she rose through the ranks of various management positions and eventually joined the staff of Marine Midland Bank in her own right. Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Rothman has garnered an extensive knowledge in both retail and operation banking while managing large and diverse staffs.
As the manager and supervisor at the Chase Manhattan Bank, Ms. Rothman was responsible for managing a staff of nearly 60 employees. Reporting to the New York City comptroller, she oversaw the traveler's check department in regards to records, flow chats, pay scales, management, interviewing and hiring. Additionally, Ms. Rothman contributed to the trust department as a salesperson at Marine Midland Bank.
In addition to her professional career, Ms. Rothman has served as the treasurer on the board of the Vineland Downtown Improvement District and participated on the board of directors for the Town of Vineland and Landis Savings Bank. Moreover, she has maintained her membership with the American Bankers Association, the Vineland Rotary Club and the Vineland Downtown Improvement District.
