As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Galiczynski has garnered a laudable reputation as an artist, having drawn a wealth of knowledge in his early years from his artist mother. Growing up with six artistic siblings, he began to experiment with different styles of painting in high school art classes. In college, during his junior year abroad at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, he visited most of the major art museums while traveling and backpacking around Western Europe. He also spent time in many art galleries while earning a diploma from the University's School of Eastern European Studies Program. After returning home and receiving his degree in Russian Studies from LaSalle University, he immediately set off to study in St. Petersburg, Russia. He lived in walking distance of the Hermitage Museum and spent time studying their collection while honing his Russian language skills. When he returned stateside he worked as a Russian translator in the Washington metropolitan area. Following this period, Mr. Galiczynski moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting. Within a year, he landed a role on the soap opera "One Life to Live," which lasted five years. He also appeared in television shows and movies, such as "Big Daddy" and "Trust the Man," to name a few. He can also be seen in Michael Jackson's "Bad" video. During this time, his artwork was accepted into gallery exhibitions in Manhattan.

In the past year, Stephen was featured in two articles in the Philadelphia Inquirer. One was titled "Met Museum Pays Tribute to Philly-born Brothers Who Make Art with Social Justice in Mind." The article highlighted him as a Top-10 finalist in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's 150th Anniversary Contest for his piece, "Modern Madonnas" and his brother, W.P., for his submission. Both appear on the Met's website. The second article, titled "Philly Native's Flag to Fly in NYC Rink, was about his win in the Rockefeller Center Flag Project, where his design, More Modern Madonnas, was made into a flag, along with the other winners, that hung in Rockefeller Center in an exhibit that was extended during the COVID pandemic. He is the only artist to have placed in both of these international contests. Rockefeller Center again exhibited the winning flag designs at the start of 2021, due to its popularity. Mr. Galiczynski also received write-ups on the New York Public Library website and the iLovetheUpperWestSide blog for his artwork, and he was featured on ABC, CBS, Voice of America (in both English and Russian) and the PBS Documentary, "Inside The Met: All Things to All People?" as an artist and the first person to enter the Metropolitan Museum after it was closed due to the pandemic.

Mr. Galiczynski is the owner of Steve G's Art and Spaces. He excels in various forms of painting, specializing in faux painting. He does wall paper installations, including fragile vintage papers, silks, grass-cloths and murals. Mr. Galiczynski works with architects, designers, decorators and clients and has been featured on NBC's "Open House NYC." for his work. He has also been the featured sketch artist on most of the television shows filmed in Manhattan, including those in the Law & Order franchise and the Disney movie, "Step Up 3D." Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Galiczynski has had several exhibitions at various New York Public Library branches, the Master Gallery, the Bortolami Gallery, the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, the Goyart Art Salon/JMC Gallery and the Peg Alston Fine Arts Gallery, where is work is currently represented. His work is seen there by appointment. He installs artwork and has curated art exhibitions as well. As an active member of his community, he volunteers and has run the New York City Marathon as a guide for the Achilles Club.

Mr. Galiczynski credits his success to his propensity for perseverance and determination.
