DALLAS, TX, June 25, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sandi Lynn Massey has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
For the past eight years, Ms. Massey has been serving as a principal at Thomas Jefferson High School, a public high school in Northwest Dallas that is a part of the Dallas Independent School District (ISD). In her present position, she is responsible for the education of all students in grades nine through 12. Ms. Massey previously worked for the aforementioned school district in an administrative position at a middle school and a kindergarten teaching position at an elementary school.
After becoming appointed as a principal, Ms. Massey has been instrumental in repositioning Thomas Jefferson High School from being ranked number 22 of 23 area high schools to number two after just six years in her role. In fact, Thomas Jefferson High School was notably just one point shy of being acknowledged as the highest standing high school in the Dallas ISD by both state and local standards. Additionally, she has served as a speaker on behalf of Region 10. A former council member for the Principal Impact Collaborative, Ms. Massey has contributed to several other local and civic initiatives, including the Theory of Action Committee, the Principal Focus Group, The Buckner Hope Center and the Student Cares Team.
Greatly inspired by several of her own teachers during her youth, Ms. Massey was particularly fortunate to have had an incredible kindergarten teacher who set the tone for her education. In the following years, she was influenced by several other significant teachers that played a huge role in her decision to pursue a career in education. Ms. Massey is incredibly grateful to all of them.
Ms. Massey initially pursued an education at Southwestern University, from which she obtained a Bachelor of Art in education and English in 1994. She later studied at Dallas Baptist University, from which she earned a Master of Art in educational leadership in 2011. Ms. Massey plans to return to college to pursue a doctorate in the future so that she may sharpen her communication skills.
