Having accrued several decades of inimitable experience in his area of expertise, Mr. Andrea has garnered a laudable reputation as a volunteer education officer on behalf of the New Haven Sail and Power Squadron since 2010. Based in New Haven, Connecticut, the squadron is notably a nonprofit boating organization affiliated with America's Boating Club. Among his responsibilities, Mr. Andrea teaches safe boating practices and sets up all classes for instructors.
Mr. Andrea previously studied courses in science and fire safety, and contributed to his community for most of his career as a firefighter. While coming of age, he lived near the water, and developed a passion for swimming and boating. Accordingly, Mr. Andrea pursued a career where he would be able to be around water on a constant basis.
For his skills in boating education, Mr. Andrea received the Award for Class Instruction in 2019. He has been grateful for the opportunity to be involved in several organizations through his affiliation with the Power Squadron. In accounting for his standout success, he credits the lessons he has learned throughout his career. Looking toward the future, Mr. Andrea eagerly anticipates seeing his two grandsons graduate from high school.
