Mr. James has also represented T-Square Logistics simultaneously since 2000. Headquartered in Colorado, the service disabled, veteran-owned small business provides various services to customers within the federal government. During the early stages of his career, he notably worked for Halliburton Services as a heavy equipment operator.
Apart from his extensive work in the field, Mr. James is a passionate singer, songwriter, composer and author. His love for music, he noted, is deeply rooted in his childhood, and he has contributed a multitude of songs over the years, including "The American Dream," "I've Said it Once, I'll Say it Again," "A Sketch of My Life," The Land of the Believers" and "A Statue of You and Me." In the coming years, Mr. James aspires to collaborate with several of Hollywood's popular stars, including Garth Brooks.
Involved in various civic organizations, Mr. James was notably active with the Boy Scouts of America. Most honorably, he served on behalf of his country, enlisting in the U.S. Army and advancing to the rank of a sergeant in 1989. Mr. James also served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Highly educated, Mr. James holds an Associate of Arts in general studies and a Bachelor of Science in management studies from the University of Maryland. Likewise, he later attained a Master of Arts in training and development from Midwestern State University in 2006. Additionally, Mr. James took various courses in quantitative and qualitative research in counseling. He is a licensed property and casualty adjuster through the Texas Department of Justice and received additional training in human resources and development through Midwestern State University, where he also served as a graduate senator.
To support his singing career, Mr. James has long stood as a member of the Guild of International Songwriters and Composers. Furthermore, to commemorate his manifold accomplishments, he has been recognized with various awards and recognitions. Among them, he was named to the Chancellor's List, received several Safe Driving Awards and was named as the Ultimate Songwriter. Additionally, for his military service, Mr. James was decorated with an Army Service Medal, an Overseas Ribbon, a National Defense Service Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, and a Sharpshooter Badge with an M16 Bar.
