COLUMBUS, GA, July 13, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Patricia Mack Gant has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After receiving an associate degree in secretarial administration from Columbia Commercial College in 1977, Ms. Gant began working as a secretary at a local church. During her tenure, she sustained an injury; however, with the help of her husband's extensive medical insurance, she was fortunate to recover with little debt. During her two-year recovery period, she often thought about others who did not have access to adequate medical coverage and was inspired to help individuals in those circumstances.
Leveraging her desire to help others, Ms. Gant received her insurance license in the State of Georgia more than 30 years ago, and then became the office manager of her husband's State Farm insurance agency soon thereafter. In 2019, Ms. Gant founded a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, titled F.A.I.T.H (Feeding Accepting Inspiring the Hurting), where she currently serves as chief executive officer. With this organization, Ms. Gant endeavors to lessen individuals' medical debts within her local community. Notably, F.A.I.T.H. offer financial help and mentoring services, and they donate to local schools. Over the years, the organization has provided hygiene products as well. They further hold online fundraising campaigns. Recently, they partnered with RIP Medical Debt to pay off $2.5 million worth of medical debt for individuals without insurance.
As head of her own organization, Ms. Gant conducts public speaking events and meets with clergy and other organizations to discover what her community needs and allocate the proper resources. She currently oversees 20 volunteers. At her husband's insurance agency, she oversees his agency as office manager.
To remain abreast of developments in her field, Ms. Gant maintains affiliation with the Columbus Chamber of Commerce and Columbus Nonprofit Development Meetup. Looking toward the future, Ms. Gant plans to develop her organization to the level of the Salvation Army. She would ultimately like to help as many as she can within her lifetime.
