Over the years, she continued to learn and grow within her roles, earning positions of increasing responsibility with NYC Health + Hospitals, where she could expand upon her expertise in healthcare regulatory matters.
Supported by her professional expertise, Ms. Russo excels today as the chief executive officer of EJ Russo Inc., an independent consultancy that has established relationships with local regulatory agencies and in Albany. In this capacity, she prepares, completes and submits regulatory applications for acute care hospitals, diagnostic and treatment centers, long-term care facilities, federally qualified health centers and more. Additionally, Ms. Russo coordinates and attends pre-occupancy surveys for completed projects by aiding in the collection of documents required for submission before surveys, and conducts pre-walkthroughs to assure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
Though her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Russo is most proud to have excelled in the field of healthcare administration for more than 30 years, retiring from her full-time salaried work in 2018 to open her own consultancy, and specializing in regulatory work within the healthcare industry. Within the next five years, Ms. Russo intends to increase the volume of her business and eventually retire.
