Mr. Sitomer is a highly successful business executive who began his career in New York City as a certified public accountant. Recruited by Ernst & Young in 1969, he subsequently worked for Mann Judd Landau Inc. from 1970 to 1974. He was then hired by Bidermann Industries, a privately held company that was at one point the largest apparel manufacturer in North America. Mr. Sitomer served as executive vice president for three years before being promoted to chief executive officer, a post he held for 15 years, until 1990.
Sparking his interest in the apparel industry, Mr. Sitomer became the chief executive officer, president, shareholder and director for several other companies. Today, he is the chief executive officer of Skin Operating LLC since 2012, a company he purchased that primarily sells women's and children's clothing. That same year, he became chief executive officer of Branded Ventures at SDC Designs LLC, a leading jewelry designer, manufacturer and wholesaler.
Among his responsibilities, Mr. Sitomer is tasked with the main components of running the company, which includes designing, merchandising, sales, general and administrative expenses, and production. Excited about how far he has come in the industry, he notes that his greatest accomplishment is his ability to grow the companies he affiliates with. Looking forward to his continuing contributions to the field, he does not plan to retire at this time.
Mr. Sitomer holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration from Baruch College, which he earned in 1968 and 1974, respectively. He is also a certified public accountant in the state of New York. He notably served in the U.S. Army, enlisting in 1969 shortly after earning his first degree.
Backed by several industry organizations, Mr. Sitomer was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Young Presidents' Organization, and the New York State Society of CPAs.
Honored with inclusion in a book published by Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, for their son Archie, the two mentioned Mr. Sitomer's company, Skin Operating LLC, twice in the book. A celebrated Marquis listee, Mr. Sitomer has been cited in the 24th through 26th editions of Who's Who in Finance and Industry and the eighth and ninth editions of Who's Who in the World.
