Dr. Storms started his career in the field of high-temperature chemistry while working at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) for nearly 4 decades. His work involved the use of special materials to generate nuclear power in space and to provide propulsion for space-craft. He is considered a major contributor to the field by having authored several reference books and published over 100 scientific papers. After retiring from LANL in 1991, he undertook a study of cold fusion in his private laboratory.
Before venturing onto his vocational path, Mr. Storms began his education at Pennsylvania State College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. He became involved in science due to the aid of his father, who fostered his curiosity and allowed him to build a laboratory of his own while attending high school. Following this accomplishment, he traveled across the country to study radiochemistry at Washington University in St. Louis, where he received a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy.
Well regarded for his scholarly output, Mr. Storms has authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles in the field of cold fusion. He has also authored two books, such as "The Science of Low Energy Nuclear Reaction: A Comprehensive Compilation of Evidence and Explanation About Cold Fusion," which was published in 2007, and is now the standard reference work for the field. Among his many career accomplishments, Mr. Storms was particularly gratified to have testified before a Congressional committee in May 1993 regarding the effects of cold fusion.
