Dedicated to her role as a teacher. Mrs. Prater-Fipps is proud to have influenced countless generations of young minds and formed meaningful relationships with her students and their families. From 1974 to 1978, she excelled as a Junior High School Teacher within the Cleveland Municipal School District. Between 1978 and 1980, Mrs. Prater-Fipps garnered experience in the Cleveland Municipal School District's Administrative Intern Program. After completion of the program, Mrs. Prater-Fipps was promoted to Assistant Principal for grades seven through twelve.
Even as a little girl, Mrs. Prater-Fipps has always enjoyed working with children. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Kent State University in 1974 and a Master of Education from Cleveland State University in 1978. Thereafter, Mrs. Prater-Fipps became certified as a teacher and a secondary principal within the State of Ohio.
Over the course of her career, Mrs. Prater-Fipps has maintained her affiliations with the Cleveland Retired Administrators, the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association, the Penn State Alumni Association and the John F. Kennedy Alumni Association. A celebrated Marquis listee, she has been selected for inclusion in the 1997 Editions of Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in America as well as the 1996 and 1997 Editions of Who's Who in American Education. Though she is now retired, Ms. Prater-Fipps enjoys traveling, reading and engaging in outdoor activities.
