Ms. Dunn has excelled in her field while in college starting in IT and as an associate electrical engineer/scientist in Aerospace and later merging into IT as a systems engineer, trainer/LAN administrator, senior network engineer, security evangelist, information systems security analyst/engineer, information assurance manager, senior security implementation engineer, senior cyber security engineer, and IT security specialist for various federal agencies and firms in different fields including IT contracting/consulting, training, biometrics, forensics/testing, healthcare, and the intelligence community. Among them, she has contributed her services to Lockheed Martin, United Healthcare, Microsoft, Cross Match Technologies, Booz Allen Hamilton, National Aeronautical Space Agency (NASA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Security Agency (TSA), National Security Agency (NSA), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Through her expertise in cyber security, Ms. Dunn has contributed as an embedded security engineer, participated on cloud services teams, created and led a cyber hygiene program at HHS for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), project manager for a travel security assessment team for third party assessments, penetration tester, and biometrics engineer.
In accounting for her standout success, Ms. Dunn credits her ability to work hands-on and her status as a woman in a male-dominated field.
