Since an early age, Ms. Hall has cultivated an interest in biology. After she received a Bachelor of Arts in zoology from the University of Connecticut, she went on to graduate school, where she was introduced to the environmental movement. Ms. Hall later received a Master of Science in zoology from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor of Science in business administration, summa cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire.
Ms. Hall began her career as a curatorial assistant at the University of Connecticut, after which she found success as a research assistant at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. During the early stages of her professional journey, she joined Normandeau Associates Inc., where she has held numerous positions, including manager of the company's marine lab, VP of operations, President and CEO and board chairperson.
In 2000, Ms. Hall transitioned the organization from a Fortune 500-owned enterprise to being 100% employee owned. For her efforts as an accomplished professional, she has received numerous accolades. In 2021, she received both a EBJ Lifetime Achievement Award from the Environmental Business Journal and a Lifetime Achievement Honor from the Environmental Council of New England. She also received the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Above and Beyond Award from the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire in 2016, and the Environmental Leadership Award from the Environmental Business Council of New England in 1988. Previously, Ms. Hall was a fellow of the Graham Foundation and the National Defense Education Act, and was elected to Phi Sigma and Sigma Xi while in graduate school.
Ms. Hall has been active with the South East Land Trust, the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, the Corporate Wetlands Restoration Partnership (CWRP) and the Environmental Business Council of New England. She also maintains her affiliation with the Nature Conservancy, the National Audubon Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and several other organizations. In the coming years, Ms. Hall plans to continue to be involved with the company and focus on strategic issues and corporate social responsibility so that the company continues to be a place where employees can always feel empowered by responsibility and ownership.
