A two-time recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award from the School of Forest Resources and Conservation of the University of Florida, Dr. Rockwood was likewise presented with a Distinguished Service Award from the same university, in addition to a Research Award from the Society of American Foresters. Moreover, he has authored over 300 articles published in various professional journals. Greatly passionate about his pursuits in the field, Dr. Rockwood has continued to conduct research and development on short-rotation woody crops even past his retirement.
