BOISE, ID, September 13, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Odette C. Bolano has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. While coming of age, Ms. Bolano drew inspiration from the example of her family, many of whom served in the healthcare industry. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Texas Christian University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Houston, whereupon she began her career in multiple senior leadership positions with HCA, and as the chief operations officer of Carondelet Health Network/Ascension Health. Following this period, she served as the chief executive officer of St. Joseph's Health Systems in Bryan/College Station, Texas. Ms. Bolano also worked as the senior vice president and an area manager of the East Bay Area for Kaiser Permanente, before becoming the president and chief executive officer of Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho.
For her efforts over the years, Ms. Bolano has received much recognition from industry organizations and publications. To wit, she was ranked as the first among the Power 25 Idaho Healthcare Leaders and as a CEO of Influence by Idaho Business Review. Ms. Bolano was also named among the Most Influential Clinical Executives in Modern Healthcare, and Women of the Year in 2019 and 2020.
Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Bolano is most proud of the work she has done during the COVID-19 pandemic, during which time she was able to effectively lead her organization by understanding the importance and strength of the local community. Her facility was one of the first health systems to implement vaccine requirements, and she has been focused on keeping her colleagues safe and healthy.
In order to remain aware of developments in her field, Ms. Bolano maintains her affiliation with the American College of Healthcare Executives, Idaho Power, the Idaho Hospital Association, the Boise State University Foundation, the Boise Chamber of Commerce, and Boise Valley Economic Development. She has attributed much of her professional success to her tenacity, willingness to take risks and ability to lead. Looking toward the future, Ms. Bolano hopes to leave a positive legacy for those who come after her.
