Inspired to enter the construction field by several family members, Mr. Moore began working as a plumber when he was a child. Following this period, he worked his way through high school and college as an industrial insulator before graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in building construction. Subsequently, he worked on one of the first high-rises in the downtown area. Over the years, Mr. Moore gained valuable expertise in the field as president of the R.M. Corporation, where he remained active between 1983 and 2011.
More recently, Mr. Moore served as the senior project manager for Foursquare Builders LLC and Magnum Builders, and as the owner of Smith and Moore Custom Builders and Design LLC. Drawing on his considerable expertise, he excels today as the superintendent and senior project manager for Cumby Construction. In addition to his vast expertise in project management, Mr. Moore frequently draws up designs for architects, engineers and consultants, and oversees condominium units from $350,000 to in excess of $3 million.
Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Moore has expanded upon his skill set by earning a plethora of certifications in construction financials, core tools, field productivity, project management and quality and safety through Procore Technologies. For his professional achievements, he won an award for the most beautifully designed building through Cumby Construction, several Builder of the Year Awards through Foursquare Builders and a Best Design Award. Even though his career has been filled with highlights, he is most proud to have raised four happy children and to have built a house called Casa Trinidad in Austin, Texas, that is worth $13 million. Looking toward the future, Mr. Moore intends to establish housing units in properties he has recently purchased.
