After earning a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management, Mr. Bayne gained valuable expertise in the financial industry with Suburban Savings and Loan Association, where he worked in roles of increasing responsibility. Subsequently, he joined Unisys during the mid-1980s. Over the course of more than a decade, Mr. Bayne was promoted five times, obtained several contract wins valued between $10 million and $50 million, and successfully won a contract with the U.S. Air Force, which was the largest of its kind at the time.
During the late-1990s, Mr. Bayne worked with Unisys as a controller and director of operations in the company's E-Business unit. In this capacity, he was accountable for operational effectiveness, fulfillment performance and oversaw e-business ordering and solutions for the company's clients with full profit and loss accountability. In 2001, Mr. Bayne became the chief financial officer of IXI Corporation and achieved much over the course of the following nine years in support of the company's growth and development. He served as a featured speaker at the 2009 Capital Connection, which was sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association. In 2009, he led and executed the exit for IXI Corporation, including executing and managing all processes to address regulatory requirements of the deal. Through 2013, Mr. Bayne obtained additional experience in the field as the chief financial officer (CFO) of IXI Services, an Equifax Corporation company.
In 2014, Mr. Bayne became the chief administrative officer of XOS Digital where he achieved much in support of the company's growth and development. In 2016, he led and executed the exit for XOS Digital. Between 2016 and 2019, Mr. Bayne worked as the chief administrative officer of XOS Digital, a subsidiary of Catapult Group International, where he led the sales excellence initiative, with a focus on building overall sales capabilities and the infrastructure needed to support the growth and expansion of the company before retiring in 2019. Though his career has been filled with highlights, he is most proud of his work with IXI Corporation and XOS Digital, which helped the companies grow their top and bottom lines. He is also gratified to have worked for the IXI Corporation when they were recognized as one of the Deloitte Touche 500 Fastest Growing Technology Companies in the United States.
