WARD, AR, October 21, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- MSgt Arthur R. Mason has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With more than 40 years of professional experience and more than two decades of military accomplishments to his name, Master Sergeant Arthur Mason has built a rewarding career on a love for what he does—be it engineering, designing electronic equipment, or serving his country.

Growing up in South Dakota and then Arkansas, Mr. Mason has always been an analytical thinker and a voracious reader. It didn't take long for his skills to shape an interest in science, specifically the concept of taking an idea and making it work, especially in terms of electronics. Shortly after graduating from tech school, he received a letter from the draft board of the United States Army, where he served from 1964 to 1968. Afterward, he obtained a job as a test technician at Bio Dynamics, a medical supplies company, in 1969, where he learned a lot under his boss, who acted as a mentor to him—taking him from electronic technician to electrical engineer simply be believing in him and recognizing his intelligence. In the late 1970s, he designed his first blood analyzer based on the company's need to upgrade the device in order to better accommodate chemicals that it contained. Mr. Mason considers this a major accomplishment and personal achievement that he remembers proudly; he would later utilize his skills to design alarm systems, pumps, and compressors, among several other pieces of equipment.

Upon leaving this post in 1980, Mr. Mason became a design engineer for coin and dollar bill changers at International Rejectors, where he worked until 1983; in the midst of this role, he also joined the Air National Guard, excelling in his many responsibilities from 1981 until his retirement in the rank of Master Sergeant in 2002. He found success as a design engineer at National Vendors from 1983 to 1988 and then Medical Electronics Company from 1988 to 1995 before occupying the major role of electric design engineer of cabin control equipment and executive aircraft at Audio International, where he remained from 1996 to 2009. In the midst of his busy job, he was determined to pursue a higher education and ultimately earned a Bachelor of Science in electronic engineering technology from Almeda College in 2002. Despite a decade of retirement after his position at Audio, he has served as an electronic design engineer at Bill's Cabot Electric Company since 2019. Upon reflection of his prolific career, Mr. Mason attributes his success to always listening to those that had more experience than him, never having a job that he didn't enjoy, and God for granting him his skills.

Looking toward future projects, Mr. Mason hopes to develop a standalone generator that would be able to sustain its power even when placed in a garage; his goal is to make sure that people will still have power in their homes no matter what. Proud that everything he has worked on has been of significant value and bettered the world, he encourages any and all aspiring professionals to read a lot, listen well, work hard, and to look for other opportunities if one doesn't feel satisfied with the field they're in. Additionally, he said, "Go to school. Figure out what you want to do and go to school for it." Outside of his many responsibilities in the field, Mr. Mason has proudly led as a Commander of an American Legion post, where he now excels as an historian, and serves as an active member of the Southside Church of Christ. Mr. Mason hopes to be remembered as a good person and a hardworking engineer.
