Ms. Osman, a successful entrepreneur who co-founded KAS Spirits LLC, initially formed her business in 2013. The company notably spirits KAS Krupnikas, a sweet, spiced alcoholic beverage made with honey and a unique blend of spices, which is considered a traditional drink in both Lithuania and Poland. Kas Spirits also produces two other alcoholic drinks – KAS Buckwheat and KAS Black Locust. Ms. Osman has drawn much of her inspiration from the example of her husband, a native of Brooklyn, who initially introduced her to Krupnikas.
Produced in Putnam County, New York, in the town of Mahopac, KAS spirts are bottled and labeled by hand and are available for purchase online and in stores throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Ms. Osman also promotes her drinks at various events and tradeshows throughout the year. Involved in every aspect of daily operations, she oversees new business development, and hopes to branch out to Massachusetts, Florida and Illinois in the near future. Well regarded for her versatile approach to entrepreneurship, Ms. Osman notably established a second business, Kazap Company, which manufactures and sells hand sanitizer.
A business owner for more than 30 years, Ms. Osman originally imported and sold clothing while living in her home country of Mexico in San Miquel de Allende. Once she arrived in the U.S., she became a headhunter for several technical and executive personnel search companies, including APS/Botal Staffing, oversaw Rick's Seafood Market and Restaurant as a general manager, and worked for Candela Systems, an east coast lighting company, as a senior project administrator.
Ms. Osman received an Associate of Arts in tourism and travel services management in Mexico. She is certified as ab apprentice lighting technician through the International Association of Lighting Management Companies, in forklift operation, as a notary public official, and in project management through Villanova University Continuing Education.
To support her current business, Ms. Osman is active as a member of the New York Chamber of Commerce. She has benefited from membership with the New York State Distillers Guild. Highlighting her success, Ms. Osman company has been featured in The New York Times and Vanity Fair.
