For more than 30 years, Mr. Fair thrived as a civil engineer and the owner of H. With over six decades of construction and engineering experience to his credit, he has developed a host of condominiums, single-family residences and commercial buildings in various counties throughout New York and Connecticut. H. Fair Associates also completed numerous construction projects for the United States Military Academy at West Point, including the expansion of the academy's track stadium and firehouse.
Prior to his entrepreneurial success, Mr. Fair excelled as the director of project management for the construction of the Xerox Holdings Corporation manufacturing facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He had previously served as the director of project management for the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation. Thanks to his renowned expertise in construction safety, Mr. Fair has been repeatedly appointed as a forensic witness for court cases related to construction accidents or performance.
In 2020, Mr. Fair channeled his vast industry knowledge to write a book "Best Practices in Construction Site Safety: Where We Have Been, Where We Are Going, and a Review of Construction Through the Years." He attributes a great deal of his success to his natural aptitude for mathematics and calculative mindset. Though Mr. Fair has since retired from his construction career, he continues to remain up to date with the latest developments in his field by maintaining active affiliations with the National Society of Professional Engineers, the National Academy of Forensic Engineers and the National Fire Protection Association, and the American Society of Safety Professionals, with the ANSI A10 Consensus Standard Committee. He is a retired Navy Captain in the Civil Engineer Corps.
