Dedicated to performing quality work for his community and inspiring others, Mr. Huston has been an expert in claims examination for more than 40 years. Prior to starting his private career, he served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1961. In recognition of his dedicated service, he was honored with the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. Owing to his military background, he volunteers with Veterans Affairs and has worked with the American Legion in Mount Dora, Florida, since 1986.
Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, he earned an associate degree from Florida International University in 1962. Well qualified in his profession, he also holds a multi-state all-lines insurance adjuster license. Following his education, he started working as an assistant manager for the Southland Corporation, now 7-Eleven, Inc., for two years. He subsequently became an all-lines adjuster for Adjusters International until acquiring a role as a forms auditor for the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, the state's insurance department. Most recently, he has been the claims examiner and supervisor for the Florida Insurance Guaranty Association. In this capacity, he gives final approval for insurance claims at the company.

He was also the owner of The Insurance Center after transitioning his focus to the insurance industry, in addition to becoming a notary public in 1982, which he continues to the present. As a commitment to his field, he is a member of The Honorable Order of the Blue Goose, a fraternal organization of individuals who work in insurance-related industries.
Known for his contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Mr. Huston volunteers his time to assist homeless individuals and senior citizens in his community. Additionally, he is a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Having led a successful career in the insurance industry, he plans to continue to care for his oldest daughter and spend more time with his family.
