MOUNT VERNON, IL, September 16, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael Elliott Aldag has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With more than a decade of excellence in fine art, Mr. Aldag specializes in two-dimensional media. He has maintained involvement as an independent artist since 2009, creating beautiful drawings, paintings, photographs, and mixed media projects. He is also a field representative for the United States Census Bureau, which he was hired onto in 2019, and serves as a pastoral associate for SSM Health, which he began in 2021. He is a member of the Illinois Art League and Christians in the Visual Arts.
In addition to being an artist, Mr. Aldag functioned as an enumerator for the United States Census Bureau in 2010 and a substitute teacher for Jefferson County schools from 2010 to 2012. Between 2010 and 2018, he also assisted in different capacities at Aldag and Associates.
Lending a great deal of his expertise as an educator, Mr. Aldag served as a paraprofessional for the Regional Office of Education #13 starting in 2011 and later worked as an art teacher for the Cedarhurst Center for the Arts in 2014. He subsequently maintained involvement as an assessment administrator for Westat Inc. in 2015 for a year, and as a pre-kindergarten paraprofessional for the St. Theresa of Avila Grade School. Following this period, he joined Morthland College Conservatory of Music and the Arts in 2017 as an adjunct faculty. In 2018, he worked for the United States Postal Service as a rural carrier associate and served as a paraprofessional for the Rome Grade School.
After completing coursework in art at Truman State University and making the 2004-2005 National Dean's List, Mr. Aldag earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in fine art from the Columbus College of Art and Design in 2009. After this accomplishment, he attained a graphic arts and design certificate from Frontier Community College in 2010. He also holds a certificate for teaching English as a foreign language from the Teflen Training College.
