Mr. Yoran has been the recipient of several Employee of the Month Awards and Quarterly Awards.
NEW YORK, NY, September 19, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kori Yoran has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Attributing more than a decade of success to his career in hotel management, Mr. Yoran was named as the general manager for Margaritaville Resort Time Square in New York City in January 2020. Overseeing all operations of the new hotel to ensure that every department runs smoothly and working with his F&B partners, which includes five restaurants, eight bars and the only outdoor heated pool in Times Square, Mr. Yoran is also responsible for negotiating contracts with vendors, handling sales and marketing, and, most importantly, ensuring that the hotel is meeting its revenue goals and exceeding budget.
Since its inception in July 2021, Margaritaville Resort Times Square achieved a positive gross operating profit of 43% under Mr. Yoran's guidance. It was also recognized by USA Today as the Best New Hotel in the United States and as the Margaritaville Brand's Best New Property in 2021, as well as achieving the top spot on TripAdvisor as the #1 Hotel in NYC.
Mr. Yoran formerly garnered expertise with Dream Hotel Group in New York City and Nashville, where he rose from the Director of Front Office Operations to the Hotel Manager and General Manager between 2015 and 2020. He was also affiliated with Soho Grand Hotel in New York City as the Assistant Front Office Manager and Assistant Director of Housekeeping between 2011 and 2015. During an earlier stage of Mr. Yoran's career, he held various positions with InterContinental New York Times Square, President Hotel, Room-Mate Grace and Soho House.
Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Yoran has focused more on the growth of his team members than on his individual success. Developing talent so that they can flourish, he noted, has been more important and rewarding to him than anything else. Looking toward the future, Mr. Yoran aims to achieve the title of Vice President of Operations, through which he will have the opportunity to oversee multiple properties and help employees thrive on a much larger scale.
Civically, Mr. Yoran enjoys being active on the young person's board of the Museum of Jewish Heritage. He also supports the Kids Wish Network.
Highly educated, Mr. Yoran received a Bachelor of Business Administration in hospitality administration, with a minor in psychology, at George Washington University in 2009. He subsequently received a Master of Business Administration in asset and revenue management at the Glion Institute of Higher Education in 2017. Moreover, Mr. Yoran remains a member of Sigma Chi since undergraduate school.
In light of his professional achievements, Mr. Yoran has been the recipient of several Employee of the Month Awards and Quarterly Awards.
