An expert in advanced cybersecurity and complex systems integration, Ms. Evans is a leader in the field of business systems security engineering at a global scale. She is currently the engineering leader for a privately held firm, which she joined in 2021. She oversees the creation and development of local- and cloud-deployed systems with a focus on compliance, while directly managing engineers and leading managers. In this role, she has developed stellar engineering and quality assurance teams, many of whom have gone on to become leaders in their areas of expertise.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Evans began her career as a programmer for order entry systems at Advanced Micro Devices in 1982 and subsequently worked with IDT until joining PacTel Info Systems in 1987 and founding her own systems development company in 1989. She's worked around the world for financial organizations, health care and energy marketing organizations, until joining Sega as their chief technology officer in 2000.
Ms. Evans continued her career as a technical architect for the Pacific Gas and Electric Company in 2001 until joining Wells Fargo in 2004. She worked for several other notable companies, including Franklin Templeton Investments and the Charles Schwab Corporation until rejoining Wells Fargo in 2012, attaining the role of vice president in the Cybersecurity group and leader of data production engineering.
Ms. Evans began by studying biochemistry in 1978 at the University of California, Riverside. With the immediate opportunities presented in Silicon Valley, in 1980 Ms. Evans began her lifelong journey of learning. She holds dozens of advanced training certifications, including the Certified Information Security Systems Professional (the equivalent of a Master's degree in the UK), Certified Cloud Security Professional, and is on track to graduate from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, with an advanced Certificate of Excellence, Chief Technology Officer, in 2023.
Motivated to use computing to make people's lives easier, Ms. Evans' current goal is to move the world forward in some small way by using technology to alleviate suffering and enhancing the quality of people's lives.
