Driven by a formative interest in mathematics, chemistry and physics and inspired by Nobel Prize winner Richard Feynman, Mr. Roberts desired to enter an industry in which he could foster his interests. Supported by over 20 years of professional experience, he presently excels as an intelligence analyst with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). During the early stages of his career, Mr. Roberts was commissioned in 1956 and served in the United States Army in the fields of technical standards and measurements, as well as in the United States Air Force as a crew navigator, retiring at the rank of captain. During his military tenure, Mr. Roberts also served as an intelligence collector and missile crew commander for 12 years.
An expert in his field, Mr. Roberts received a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in physics, both from the University of Wyoming. In addition to his academic credentials, he holds a certification in intelligence from the CIA. Due to his considerable knowledge, he has also served as a travel article writer for the Lawrenceburg Tennessee Newspaper for 10 years. In light of his outstanding body of work in the armed forces, he was the recipient of three Air Medals and was honored with a Distinguished Flying Cross.
While his career has been filled with numerous achievements, Mr. Roberts is especially pleased with his aviation career in the Air Force and gratified to acquire his undergraduate and graduate education, which was sponsored by the United States Air Force. The proud father of one daughter and two sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren, he enjoys skiing, woodworking, writing, reading, bridge and traveling in his spare time. Impressively, he has visited approximately 40 countries and all 50 states thus far, and has the pleasure of skiing on slopes from Vermont to California and countries around the world from Europe to New Zealand.
He was born in Tennessee and is now retired in Washington, DC, where he enjoys the vibrant life of the city, the nation and pulse of world affairs.
