Prior to his current position, Mr. Loper began his career as a manager of production for the production, environmental and technical specialty chemical plant of FMC Corporation in 1975. He continued his career with FMC Corporation, serving in several leadership roles, including as a manager of industry marketing for the specialty chemicals division, business director for the aquifer remediation systems and manager of the product sales specialty chemicals division. In 1985, he joined Roux Associates, Inc., as the company's vice president until 2002. Demonstrating versatility in his profession, he has also contributed numerous articles to professional journals.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Loper earned a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering and applied science from Lehigh University in 1973. He then attained a Master of Science in chemical engineering from the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies in 1979. Well-qualified in his field, he is a licensed industrial wastewater treatment operator, certified safety professional, certified sustainability practitioner and TCEQ corrective action project manager. He also holds a certification as an environmental engineer and is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, North Carolina and Ohio.
Within the coming years, Mr. Loper intends to continue his work as a consultant, leading his field with integrity and a great deal of knowledge. He specializes in innovating for large-scale, complex projects and developing holistic, adaptive technical approaches. Looking toward the future, he also plans to continue his commitment to charity work as a central aspect of his life, having held memberships with the Boy Scouts of America and United Way.
