TEMECULA, CA, October 17, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michelle Jo Pribble, CNMT, HM1, USN, (Ret.), has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Pribble has a total of 26 years of experience at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and served honorably for 20 years in the U.S. Navy. She has been a certified nuclear medicine lead technologist and dedicated patient safety representative for 18 years. She was a hospital corpsman for the Naval School of Health Sciences, mentored by Dr. Eugene Silverman. During her service, she was awarded with multiple letters of appreciation and was presented with a Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and a Humanitarian Service Medal.
Well qualified in her field, Ms. Pribble attained nuclear medicine certification from the Naval School of Health Sciences in 2004. Since then, she has continued her role as a nuclear medicine technologist for the Naval Medical Center San Diego. She has also been a nuclear medicine technologist at Rady Children's Hospital since 2006. In the military, she works in all medical fields, including pediatric medicine, psychiatry, emergency medicine and process improvement, in addition to identifying and improving lapses in patient care as a patient safety representative. To remain aware of developments affecting her field, she is a member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. She also is part of the Klippel-Trenaunay Foundation and the Sturge-Weber Foundation.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Pribble's goal is to expand the nuclear medicine field into research studies on the brain, mainly for patients with PTSD, traumatic brain injury and Alzheimer's disease. She intends to help contribute to the understanding of these conditions and create improved treatments for these patients. She also plans to improve the customer approach in this field of medicine, ensuring patients are not fearful of the procedures. Ms. Pribble believes the best strategy for achieving this goal is to implement more amiable exam procedures.
