METAMORA, MI, November 01, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Estela Monjo Boudreau has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Ms. Boudreau was inspired to enter her profession of supporting personal and spiritual development after a solo camping retreat in the Colorado wilderness. She purchased a property in Metamora, MI in 1994 and founded Windrise Retreat Center. Later, in 2011 she founded Galeria Mariposa as a working studio for her sculptures and has virtual sculpture gallery www.galeriamariposa.net that displays her collection of art. Her sculptures are at the Vatican in Pope Francis' personal collection, as well as at the Shalem Institute in Washington, D.C. and in private collections across North America.
Ms. Boudreau creates sculptures at her studios in Metamora on the grounds of Windrise Retreat Center and in Grosse Pointe Shores Michigan, Her permanent collection of indoor and garden sculptures can be found at Windrise, where she holds sculpting retreats alongside her husband in an all-encompassing setting.
Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Ms. Boudreau received a Bachelor of Arts in primary education and English as a second language from Colegio Madres Escolapias in Argentina in 1965. She has also been certified as a spiritual director through the Shalem Institute.
To remain aware of developments affecting her field, Ms. Boudreau has maintained her professional affiliation with the Detroit Society of Women Painters and Sculptors, in addition to the University Women's Association. Likewise known for her contributions as a civic-minded citizen, she has dedicated her time to the Junior League of Detroit, a nonprofit organization committed to positively impacting the lives of children and families in Detroit and the surrounding areas.
In a career filled with highlights, Ms. Boudreau is most proud of seeing the transformation that people experience when visiting the Windrise Retreat Center. She is especially satisfied when they note their desire to return, having connected to an inimitable force that exists among the hilly terrain of Metamora, Michigan.
