Accumulating more than six decades of experience as a distinguished trial attorney, Mr. Reinke has since retired from his role of counsel from Barnes & Thornburg and Predecessors in South Bend, Indiana. Throughout the course of his career with the prestigious firm, he notably helped found the team in 1957 and subsequently served as a partner and chairperson of the management and compensation committee. During his tenure, Mr. Reinke also had the opportunity to travel throughout the country trying cases and counseling clients in matters of bankruptcy, personal injury, and more.

The book expounds upon his experience as an attorney and some of the many interesting cases that he tried throughout his career. Mr. Reinke also published "Random Thoughts of a Hoosier Trial Lawyer" in 2020.
Active in various civic, nonprofit, educational, and religious endeavors, Mr. Reinke is a life member, advisory board member, and past president of The Salvation Army, a patron fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation, and a life patron fellow of the Saint Joseph County Bar Foundation. Previously, he garnered experience as a two-time trustee of the First Methodist Church and as a board director of the South Bend Civic Theatre, the Rotary Club of South Bend, and the Isaac Walton League. Furthermore, Mr. Reinke is a past president of the South Bend Round Table and a former board director and past president of the Stanley Clark School and the Michigan chapter of the NABE.
Mr. Reinke graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Wabash College in 1952 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Chicago Law School in 1955. He subsequently served as a sergeant in the management planning unit, machine records division, of the U.S. Fifth Army Headquarters in Chicago from 1955 to 1957. Mr. Reinke was admitted to practice law by the Indiana Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
As a part of his established commitments to the field, Mr. Reinke is a member of the American Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Saint Joseph County Bar Association and the American Judicature Society.
Recognizing his achievements, Mr. Reinke was named as the South Bend Outstanding Young Man of the Year in 1961 and as the South Bend Boss of the Year in 1979. He also received the Wabash College Richard O. Ristine Award in 2018.
