Before starting his company, Mr. Huhndorff served honorably as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force from 1988 to 1992. During this time, he was stationed at Los Angeles Air Force Base and served as an engineer on the Titan IV satellite launch program. In this capacity he supported Cape Canaveral launch operations for strategic military satellites used in the global support of US military initiatives, including Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. Mr. Huhndorff received the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, the National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon, and the Air Force Training Ribbon. Following the conclusion of his duties, he became a process specialist for Betz Laboratories, a Fortune 500 company, in 1992. In this role, he was responsible for selling chemical treatment programs to refineries.
He went on to distinguish himself as a Managing Director at Raymond James between 1997 and 2020, where he was an investment banking professional focused on the energy sector. His investment banking experience involved all aspects of the energy value chain, including oil and natural gas exploration and production, energy service companies, energy midstream and transportation companies, refiners, power generation and alternative energy companies. While at Raymond James he closed over 300 transactions with an aggregate value of over $90 billion.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Huhndorff earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Michigan in 1988. He subsequently attained a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School in 1997.
Well-qualified in his field, Mr. Huhndorff holds Series 7 and Series 63 licenses from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Outside of his primary career efforts, he has been a certified ski instructor for Vail Resorts since 2021 and is a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America.
