With more than 12 years of excellence to his credit in creating outdoor diversity, Mr. Morris has found success as a professional hunter. In this capacity, he is a television producer, host, and outdoor diversity consultant with his own companies, N.onT.ypical Outdoorsman, N.onT.ypical Outdoorsman TV, and N.onT.ypical Outdoorsman Incorporated. Since 2010 he has worked relentlessly to get more minorities involved in hunting and the outdoors and is known for his unique ability to successfully introduce minorities to hunting and the outdoors. In 2019 he created N.onT.ypical Outdoorsman TV and has focused his efforts on creating diverse episodes for his show, including locations for filming and contacting interesting people to interview for the show. He also works with companies and organizations who may need assistance with their diversity and recruitment efforts. He also serves as the Executive Director for N.onT.ypical Outdoorsman Incorporated, where he directs the day to day operations of the minority based and minority led organization.
Before starting his private career, Mr. Morris served honorably in the United States Army until retiring as a Major in 2016. Also, a dedicated civil advocate, he has served as committee members for Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever. He has been a Texas Hunter Education Instructor, a Kansas Hunter Education Instructor, and is currently a Hunter Education Instructor for Georgia. In recognition of his excellent work, he was named Georgia's Top Hunter Education Instructor by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. The same year, he also received the Sig Sauer's 50 for 50 Award from the International Hunter Education Association for being among the Top 50 out of 55,000 instructors in America. He is also a Bowhunter Education Instructor and is a certified Huntmaster.
Prior to embarking on his journey, Mr. Morris earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Jacksonville State University in 1994. He also has several graduate level credit hours of education in Organizational Leadership.
Within the coming years, Mr. Morris intends to grow his show to become the #1 outdoor show in America when it comes to showcasing racial diversity and inclusion in hunting and the outdoors. He also intends to grow his N.onT.ypical Outdoorsman brand to build a more welcoming platform for outdoor diversity, while establishing himself as a leader in this space.
