Leveraging more than two decades of excellence in military service and leadership, including two combat tours in Iraq from 2003-2004 and again from 2005-2006, Mr. Holbrook has earned distinction across multiple roles in the United States Army. Most recently serving as the deputy commander for the 206th Regional Support Group. Since 2002, Mr. Holbrook has served honorably as an officer in the United States Army. He entered service as a platoon leader in 2002 and later served as a battalion human resources officer while on Active Duty. He became a company commander in 2007 in the US Army Reserve. He served as a battalion operations officer for the United States Army Reserve in 2012 and a battalion executive in 2014. He continued his career in 2016 as a team chief in the CRU (Contingency Response Unit) for the United States Army Corps of Engineers, earning a promotion to Lieutenant Colonel and was selected to serve as battalion commander for the 844th Engineer Battalion of the United States Army Reserve from 2019 to 2021. He served as deputy commander of the 206th RSG from 2021 to the summer of 2022, before receiving the rare honor of selection to attend the US Army War College as a Resident Student, where he is currently assigned.
Among his accomplishments, Mr. Holbrook is proud to have received numerous commendations from the United States Army. He was honored with a Bronze Star Medal in 2004. He has received four Meritorious Service Medals, four Army Commendation Medals, and two Army Achievement Medals from the United States Army throughout his time in service. He is also a valued member of the Army Engineer Association and the Army War College Alumni Foundation.
Outside of his military career, Mr. Holbrook served as a production supervisor for Vought Aircraft in 2007. Additionally, he has been an associate director of UnitedHealth Group since 2019, having joined United as a network account manager 2008. Specializing in physician contracting, he maintains a portfolio of contracts for large accountable care organizations in the Medicare and retirement line of business. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Cumberland College in 2002. He then attained an executive Master of Business Administration from Sullivan University in 2010.
Within the coming year, Mr. Holbrook intends to complete his master's degree in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College. He aspires to be a source that makes other people better, inspiring others to improve themselves through his example.
