COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, MI, December 22, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tracy Shelton Parks has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Drawing on decades of business management experience, Mr. Parks presently serves as Director of Automotive Business Development for U.S. Connected Car with LexisNexis Risk Solutions. Since joining the company in 2022, he has overseen the implementation of business strategies with a focus on telematics product propositions with automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEM). Between 2019 and 2022, Mr. Parks excelled as an account manager for Eaton Corporation's Automotive Division, where he was responsible for OEM sales and achieved significant revenue growth.
Prior to joining Eaton, Mr. Parks worked with the Ford Motor Company in a variety of roles, most recently as Connectivity Business Development Manager. Previously held positions include Manager of Global Joint Ventures and Alliance Strategy, Import Vehicle Programs Manager, Business Strategy Specialist, Powertrain Alliance Manager, and Powertrain Product Planning Specialist. During the early stages of his career, Mr. Parks also gained valuable expertise in the field as the Employee Programs and Facilities Manager with Ford Credit and as a plant engineering manager with Ford.
Outside of his work, Mr. Parks contributes to his community as treasurer for the Southfield Kappa Foundation and as a youth mentor. An expert in his field, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Western Michigan University. Subsequently, he expanded upon his professional knowledge by earning an MBA from Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business and becoming certified in alliance management through the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals.
Considering his outstanding body of work, Mr. Parks was named an Outstanding Young Man in America in 1989 and has received various other awards for community service work. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in a project he led in 2008. Ford had to eliminate a large portion of its salaried workforce, and many were laid off. At the same time, the company was revamping the way they utilized global vehicle platforms and asked him to lead the Transit Connect import program for North America. The cornerstone of his success lies in his spirituality and faith, as well as a number of great mentors who have encouraged him over the years. In the next five years, Mr. Parks aims to do more community service and inspire the next generation of young professionals to be the best they can be.
