Inspired to become a professional tennis player by his uncle, who was also a tennis professional, Hank Hughes was always a terrific athlete. Playing basketball in high school, he later went on to attend college for his undergraduate studies, where he fell in love with the game of tennis. During his studies, Mr. Hughes was asked by his uncle to help him teach at an athletic facility, titled the Mount Lebanon Tennis Center, thus prompting Mr. Hughes to enter the field professionally and perfect the craft. Notably, he helped the facility for more than 10,000 hours prior to being hired full-time as a tennis manager in 2007.
