Joining Farm Bureau Financial Services (FBFS) more than 33 years ago, Ms. Kline is an established executive who presently serves as an application engineering manager at the company's corporate headquarters in West Des Moines, Iowa, since 2009. As a part of her responsibilities, she manages the daily activities of a 12-person team of COBOL/Java developers who are responsible for assessing the technical needs of customers. She also holds her team accountable with respect to ensuring that the design and development process of applications are completed on time and on budget. Additionally, Ms. Kline serves as a mentor, providing her subordinates with growth strategies that will elevate their careers and prepare them for future success in the industry.
Founded in 1939, FBFS serves to provide insurance, as well as a variety of other services to its loyal customers. Climbing the organization's corporate ladder since 1989, Ms. Kline notably began working for the organization as an administrative assistant before subsequently being promoted to serve as a programmer, programmer II, programmer analyst, applications consultant, and senior applications consultant.
Committed to giving back to various national nonprofit and charitable organizations, including the American Heart Association and the United Way, Ms. Kline aims to become much more active in her local community of Ankeny, Iowa, in the near future.
Ms. Kline graduated from Des Moines Area Community College where she earned an Associate of Science in management information systems and information technology. She also received an Associate of Science in business management on campus.
Ms. Kline attributes her success to staying current in her field. She also credits her ongoing professional development to her education and on-the-job training that she has received throughout her career. Notably, the FBFS has a talent education department, which has been instrumental in her ability to grow with the organization.
