Leveraging more than three decades of excellence as a mechanic, Mr. Ross has earned distinction as a veteran's service officer. In this capacity, he works with the Vietnam Veterans of America, an organization committed to providing service and resources for veterans of the Vietnam War. Since 2009, he has focused his efforts on advocating for the veteran population while helping those veterans to access the resources and benefits they are entitled to. In honor of his dedicated work in this area, he was inducted to the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame in 2022.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Ross served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967. Following his military service, he worked as a mechanic for BHP of America, Inc. from 1974 to 2002. Additionally, he is a valued member of the International Fellowship of Chaplains and serves as the secretary for his church's board. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, he earned an associate's degree from Pima Community College.
Accounting for his success, Mr. Ross credits his natural inclination for helping people to find their best lives. A people person by nature, he strives to treat each person with mutual respect and compassion. This combined with his own experiences with military service led into his commitment for helping vulnerable veterans in his community as well as nationally.
