Additionally, he is the chairman of the Matrimonial Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association and is a member of the board of governors for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Stutman began his career as a sole practitioner in 1995 and became a partner with Mayerson Stutman Abramowitz, LLP in 1998. He then was a partner and head of the family department at Mishcon de Reya in 2011 until becoming the managing partner for Stutman Advocate Stutman and Lichtenstein, LLP in 2016. He co-authored "How to Divorce in New York" in 1993 and authored "Divorce in New York" in 2013, having also contributed stellar articles to the field of family law. Additionally, he served as the vice president and president of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Stutman earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Knox College in 1975. He then attained a Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1978. Well-qualified in his field, he is a certified family trial law advocate with the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Among his professional accomplishments, he was named one of the Lawyers of Distinction and has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America since 2008. Within the coming years, Mr. Stutman intends to create a platform that can be used by the younger lawyers working at their firm to launch and establish their brand.
