Before starting her private career, Ms. Proudsworth served honorably as a civil affairs specialist for the United States Army Reserve from 2004 to 2008. In recognition of her dedicated service, she was honored with an Army Achievement Medal from the 351st Civil Affairs Command in 2005 and from the 448th Civil Affairs Battalion in 2008. Owing to her military experience, she was a vet corps navigator for the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs in 2009. Continuing her dedication to civil advocacy, she volunteers with People for Puget Sound and with the veterans' assistance of AmeriCorps.
Following her service with the United States Army Reserve, Ms. Proudsworth began her career as a sales associate for Nordstrom in 2007 and became a licensed massage therapist with Intuitive Bodywork in 2011. She was a technical writer in 2012 and then served as an assistant dispatcher for the Lake Stevens School District in 2014. The following year, she was an operations intern with ChemPoint and a sales associate for Gregg's Alderwood Cycle until joining Elements Therapeutic Massage in 2015.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Proudsworth earned an associate's degree in architectural drafting and architectural CAD/CADD from the Lake Washington Institute of Technology in 2009. She then attained a Bachelor of Science in business administration and management from Western Governors University in 2017. Well-qualified in her field, she is a licensed massage therapist with a certificate in massage therapy and therapeutic massage from the Cortiva Institute-Seattle. She is also a valued member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
Within the coming years, Ms. Proudsworth intends to lift up her spa business to a five-star and well-known establishment in the Seattle area. Accounting for her success, she credits her experiences in the military, as they provided her with discipline and the adaptability to work in uncomfortable conditions.
