With more than three decades of excellence in library science and education, Ms. Wolfinger has earned distinction as a librarian for the Neshaminy School District. Until her retirement in 1984, she focused her efforts on setting up libraries properly while teaching students how to use library services and conduct research.
Ms. Wolfinger worked as a librarian and audiovisual coordinator for Neshaminy Junior High. She formerly served in various leadership roles for the Bucks County Genealogical Society and was on the board of directors for the Neshaminy Valley Music Theatre in 1964. She also was an editor for the Wolfinger Family Newsletter from 1988 until 2004.
Over the course of her career, the Neshaminy School District was able to open four new school libraries as she continued to help students develop their research and information science skills. She also developed lasting relationships with colleagues and students over the years, owing to her stellar work and dedication as well as her honesty and professionalism. Her main goal was to help kids learn how to do proper research, always answering their questions as well as she possibly could.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Wolfinger earned a Bachelor of Science in education, library science and English from Kutztown University in 1955. She then attained a Master of Science in library science from Florida State University in 1970. Well-qualified in her field, she gained a teacher's license and teacher's certificate from Temple University in 1957. Looking to the future, Ms. Wolfinger spends her retirement conducting independent research on literature, especially British mystery. She also enjoys listening to classical and Baroque music.
