Since retiring, Dr. Robinson has been concentrating on her award-winning nonprofit organization, Congress for Global Communications. As the business strategist, president and founder and member(s) of its executive board, her goal is to promote diverse and inclusive dialogue and establish positive connections across nations. By concentrating on teaching others how to better communicate, collaborate, and be consistent with one another, Dr. Robinson aims to bridge the gap in civility, thus creating a positive impact in the world for future generations. To achieve these goals, her organization provides training, policy recommendations, and empowerment forums. In partnership with the Lions Clubs International & Congress for Global Communications, Dr. Sonya Robinson was honored to be a guest speaker at the 2023 Lions Day with United Nations in Nairobi, Kenya. She shared the dais with His Excellency Deputy President of Kenya, Lions Clubs International President, and many other dignitaries. She spoke on the topics of unity and civility through communications. While there, she became a member of the Lions Club International Foundation which has over 1.4M members globally. Dr. Robinson's alliance with the Lions Club provides an opportunity to truly change the world by lending your voice, your skills and your imagination.
Dr. Sonya Robinson is an internationally acclaimed author and speaker, coach, and mentor. She was the founder and host of a successful podcast called "Conversations that Matter" with Dr. Sonya Robinson, which concluded its 28th podcast in February 2021. A self-improvement podcast that has reached more than 17 countries, she has covered an array of topics, including racism, mental health, the role of the church, and more. Dr. Robinson launched an international proclamation entitled "International Day of Mastering Conversations that Matter," which is celebrated and observed globally on April 17th.
Committed to various charitable and civic organizations, Dr. Robinson has been affiliated with the Children's Rescue Mission in Nairobi, Kenya. She is also active as a professional member of Black Belt Speakers. The organization under Dr. Ruben West focuses on training people how to effectively speak in public.
Attributing much of her success to her grandmother for serving as her inspiration, Dr. Robinson has always aspired to be the best version of herself. Highly educated, she received an undergraduate degree, bachelor's degree, and Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from United Graduate College and Seminary International. Dr. Robinson also completed Statesman training and diplomacy training through iChange Nations under the tutelage of Sir Dr. Clyde Rivers, World Peace Ambassador and is a Black Belt Speakers graduate. Upon graduating Statesman training Dr. Robinson was appointed as a World Civility Ambassador.
Honoring Dr. Robinson's accomplishments, Congress for Global Communications was recognized as the ICN Congress for Global Communications 2022 Organization of the Year. She also received an Emotional Civility Award, a Global Peace Award, a Woman of Worth Award, a Kavod Foundation International Service Award, and a World Solidarity Economy Leader Award in 2022. Among a multitude of other accolades, Dr. Robinson has also been inducted into the World Book of Greatness and has been featured in I Am Magazine International and Legends, Leaders, and Entrepreneur Magazine.
