He is best known for his book, Last Disciple, about the real life challenges, hardships, and dangers faced by spiritual warriors when ministering within the subculture of independent bikers, secular clubs, and the infamous "1%er" outlaw motorcycle clubs. Mr. Steel also served as a co-founder and National President of the Last Disciples MC, which was founded in 2005. He is currently a national board member and "National Nomad" (facilitator and trouble shooter) for the organization. He has utilized his hard earned expertise in motorcycle ministry and protocol to lead and bond with his fellow members, as they ride their Harleys to reach the spiritually lost along the highways and byways they travel. The group is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Christian organization, dedicated to fulfilling the "Great Commission" of the Bible.
Mr. Steel was also a professional horse trainer, specializing in rehabilitating what are often referred to as "problem horses," then training the owners. He was also a contract ballistics consultant for 25 years, providing mission specific sniper data and products to a wide variety of special ops clients.
