Having joined the company as an operations manager in 2020, since 2023, he has focused his efforts on leading a team of professionals who facilitate training for guards. He ensures all their policies and procedures meet the state guidelines, specializing in risk assessments for security operations within the cannabis industry.
Before starting his private career, Mr. Stevens served honorably as a Boatswain's Mate and Quartermaster with the United States Navy from 2002 until 2006. In recognition of his dedicated and selfless service, he was honored with three Good Conduct Medals, Battle E Designation, The Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and The Global War on Terrorism Service Medals. He served proudly on board the USS Dewert FFG 45 in many capacities, including fire investigator, Security Forces Afloat Team Lead, which was responsible for searching and clearing the entire vessel for security alert threats onboard the ship. Following his military service, he began his career as a security and driver manager for PAM Transport in 2006 and later was a patrol officer for Centurion Security in 2009. Following this time, he served as a physical security specialist for Walmart Corporate Security. During his service at Walmart he also worked part time as a senior consultant for TRI Solutions LLC, and was recruited to serve as a security manager for FEMA, Department of Homeland Security, for disasters across the U.S. from 2019 until 2021.
Also dedicated to civil advocacy, Mr. Stevens lends his expertise as a volunteer for Steaks 4 Sheepdogs managed by his mentor and Founder Mr. Joe Wilson and was the Program Project manager for Champions for Kids. He also previously served as a volunteer firefighter for the Elkins Fire Department and as a FEMA-certified first responder for Global Operations LLC.
While developing his professional journey, Mr. Stevens earned a bachelor's degree in homeland security from Keiser University in 2015. Well-qualified in his field, he holds numerous professional certifications in protection and firearms use, including as an M-4/AR-15 armorer, advanced high threat protection and as a commissioned security officer, among other qualifications. He is likewise certified as a chief range safety officer, the Institute of Instruction Training Administrator for Liberty Defense Group Academy, and many more accolades.
Within the coming years, Mr. Stevens intends to continue to build LDG into a security empire, taking it and the LDG Academy to reach heights that no other veteran-owned and veteran-operated company has been able to meet thus far. Accounting for his success, he credits his strong work ethic as well as his dedicated Christian faith, which serves as a guiding light in his life personally and professionally.
