He joined PixArt Imaging in 2006 as a technical deputy manager, rising to senior systems architect in 2012. In his current role with PixArt Imaging, Dr. Chen is responsible for the company's healthcare industry and capacitive touch algorithm projects, including management of the project's software-breaking interface. Widely recognized as a leader in his specialty, Dr. Chen has worked with a broad range of clients throughout his career, including a secondary role with Optovue as a senior staff algorithm scientist in 2018.
Dr. Chen holds a Doctor of Philosophy in signal processing and image processing from National Chiao Tung University. He has published several academic papers in peer-reviewed outlets, and he extensively studied simultaneous image sensors and related technologies as a part of his doctoral research. Dr. Chen holds more than 100 patents for devices invented in the course of his work and is proud to be considered an innovator in a challenging industry.
