During the early stages of her career, Mrs. Smith gained valuable expertise in the field as an education assistant worker for the York Region District School Board. An expert in her field, she earned a bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Manitoba in 2019. Subsequently, she received a master's degree in social work from Walden University three years later. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in writing a book (Once Broken) that allowed her to heal from past traumatic experiences.
The cornerstone of Mrs. Smith's success lay with her grandfather, who was her driving force. He was the first person to allow her to use her voice and recognize her pain after the abuse she suffered. Looking toward the future, she aims to speak at different conferences and group sessions for teenagers who have experienced sexual abuse.
