In light of his considerable achievements, Mr. Asamenaw has been honored many times, earning the Chancellor's Gold Medal for Being the Top Student at Mekelle University, a Fulbright Fellowship through the U.S. Department of State, a Spotlight Award from Dewberry, and a President's Volunteer Service Award from the White House, which was one of the highlights of his career. Other standout moments in his career include mentoring other professionals and developing an arc hydro model for an Ethiopian watershed via his master's degree thesis at The University of Texas at Austin.
