Mr. Pfund is a QA engineer celebrating more than a decade of success working with leading media and games producers. A talented student athlete, he was accepted to Northeastern University on a football scholarship and graduated in 2011 with a Management Information Systems degree. While a student, he pursued extracurricular development opportunities as a configuration and change management intern for State Street Global Advisors and a member of the Johnson & Johnson information technology co-op.
In 2011, Mr. Pfund joined Woods Services as a systems analyst, departing the following year to work with Traffic Management, Inc. as a junior network administrator. He became a QA tester for Disney Interactive in 2013 and a senior QA tester for Disney ABC Television Group the following year. Mr. Pfund would remain with Disney ABC Television Group in a QA testing role until 2017, when he accepted a QA engineer position with NFL Media for a short contract then was named QA lead for Principal Development Group Consulting working with the Fox Rights Management team. He returned to Disney in 2019 as a senior QA engineer for Walt Disney Direct-to-Consumer & International, where he continued to develop his reputation as an unconventional thinker and leader with an unparalleled eye for detail. Since 2022, Mr. Pfund has been a senior QA engineer for PlayStation, where he focuses on distribution systems and content pipeline managing testing for up to 15 applications at a time.
Among other projects for Sony, Mr. Pfund was instrumental in improving the automation framework at PlayStation, resulting in dramatically improved performance and faster processing times, an accomplishment he considers to be a career highlight. He credits his success to his attitude, persistence, sense of discipline, and ability to focus, and hopes to transition into manager-level roles in the coming years. In his personal time, Mr. Pfund enjoys spending quality time with his wife and child and is active in community outreach efforts as a volunteer for area food banks.
